Tehran is ready to restart nuclear discussions with Washington on condition that it is treated with "dignity" and "honor", Iran's top diplomat has stated.

The Iranian diplomat stated only diplomacy worked, and shared fresh requests had come from intermediaries to reopen negotiations with the US government. He claimed Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran had not yet reached a point to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to access bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Navigating a Difficult Course

The foreign minister is walking a complex path since Iran wishes not to be seen to be acting from a position of disadvantage, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had come out more powerful militarily and mentally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an inalienable right to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will never give up" – the primary cause of the impasse in the earlier negotiations.

Previous Discussions Suddenly Terminated

The prior phases of discussions between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and hostile conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a 12-day war that concluded with the American leader declaring the locations had been destroyed. Following this, European countries employed their right to reinstate international penalties, but Iran maintains they have not had a substantial consequence.

Ideal Resolution Proposed

Iran's diplomats claimed they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. The two nations would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the talks that US nuclear scientists could operate within Iranian territory, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Diplomats claimed on multiple occasions they had reached agreement with Washington's diplomat the American negotiator only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "opponents in the US".

Present Status

Iran's diplomats declared the partnership proposal was now withdrawn, but it seems very probable the offer could be revived in certain ways if discussions restart.

The US president recently said he had been obtaining communications that Iran wanted to resume discussions, but in private Tehran representatives claim they are not yet obtaining coherent offers from the United States either directly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Diplomatic Stance

In his address to the forum, aimed to portray the US as a controlling nation that misuses the notion of international law, the foreign minister declared the two-week conflict revealed the clash could not be ended by military means. He stated the strikes began with a Washington's ultimatum for an total Iran submission and concluded with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is assured the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were executed with total Washington understanding and coordination, making confidence difficult to rebuild.

Diplomacy Continues the Final Resolution

Araghchi said: "Tehran was not the one that had fled negotiations; it was America and the western countries that had consistently tried to dictate their demands during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be alive and remains the primary resolution to address conflicts, but its requirements, regulations and principles must be adhered to."

"If they speak to the nation of Iran with the tone of respect and honor, they will obtain a reply in the equivalent tone."

Recovery and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Iranian officials as the struggle of recovery and reconstruction, the foreign minister stated he was certain Iran's military capacities "have significantly improved than before 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been reestablished. We gained numerous insights from this conflict; we have discovered our internal vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities of the opponent."

He continued: "We successfully passed this engagement. Our atomic expertise, which they aimed to eliminate, continues to exist. The installations and machinery, if destroyed, will be rebuilt; what is essential is the determination of the nation of Iran and then the unity of the country that they targeted, but were unable to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have developed stronger, more integrated, and more supportive of the leadership and the country in the aftermath of this assault."
